Volleyball Preview: Southern Door Eagles vs. Algoma Wolves        
        
		
             Southern Door and Algoma are an even 5-5 against one another  since October of 2017, but  not for long. The Southern Door Eagles will venture away from home to  square off against the Algoma Wolves  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Southern Door will be strutting in after a  victory while Algoma will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Southern Door took a loss when they played away from home  on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Gibraltar out  3-2. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Southern Door had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 22-25, 25-14, 25-20,  15-13.
 Southern Door relied on the efforts of   Alanna Paye, who  had 26  digs, three  aces,  and a  kill, and   Alanah Kaye, who  had 15  kills, 14  digs,  and three  aces. That's the most  aces  Paye has posted  in her last ten  contests.
 Meanwhile, Algoma was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They fell  2-0 to Heritage Christian.
 Algoma was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23,  25-13.
 Southern Door's victory bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Algoma, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
