The Daphne Trojans will square off against the Ocean Springs Greyhounds at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Daphne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
Daphne is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Murphy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 58-50 to the Panthers. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Panthers since Tuesday.

Daphne might have lost, but man, Fredayshia Goodwin was a machine: she posted 17 points and five steals. Goodwin is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamorya Johnson, who earned four points along with six boards and three steals.
Meanwhile, Ocean Springs put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down St. Patrick 58-40. The Greyhounds' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Daphne better focus on containing Starr Jackson and Layla Daley as the pair were huge in Ocean Springs' win. Jackson went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals, while Daley shot 50% from the field to rack up 12 points along with seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nyla Newsome, who put up 12 points.
Ocean Springs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Ocean Springs' win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Daphne, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Daphne has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Ocean Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Daphne came up short against Ocean Springs in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, falling 41-30. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
