Softball Recap: Warren East Raiders vs. Trigg County Wildcats
Warren East proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 15) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Trigg County Wildcats out 7-5. The victory was familiar territory for Warren East who now have three in a row.
Lydia Jones was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzi Upton, who went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.
Warren East's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Trigg County, they dropped their record down to 12-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Warren East will take on Christian County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Warren East is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season. As for Trigg County, they will head out on the road to square off against Webster County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
