Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Comes Up Short

Appleton North had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-26 to make it eight. They lost 3-0 to the Xavier Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

As for Xavier, their record is now 22-7. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Grace Hackl had an outrageously good game as she had 26 digs and four aces. Those 26 digs gave her a new career-high. Sydney Neilitz was another key player, getting five digs and four aces.

Coming up, Appleton North will be playing at home against Appleton East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Xavier, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Fox Valley Lutheran on the 2nd.
