Basketball Game Preview: Redmond Mustangs vs. Eastlake Wolves

Redmond is 0-10 against Eastlake since February of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Redmond Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Eastlake Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Redmond knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Eastlake likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Redmond was fully in charge, breezing past Renton 75-40. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Eastlake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 51-47 to Mount Si.

Eastlake's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Redmond, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.

Redmond opened the new year with a less-than-successful 59-49 loss to Eastlake. Thankfully for Redmond, Sofia Aluas (who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
