Softball Game Preview: North Rangers vs. Riverside Beavers

North is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Riverside is on a four-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Rangers will welcome the Beavers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

North lost 10-4 to Avon on Saturday.

Ashley Sykes (John Carroll) made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Latini, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Riverside was able to grind out a solid victory over Mentor on Saturday, taking the game 6-3.

Riverside's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

North skirted past Riverside 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Beavers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
