Basketball Recap: White Plains' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

White Plains had lost 13 straight headed into Friday's match, but Milan Ragin didn't let it get to 14. The White Plains Tigers pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over the Greeley Quakers on Friday thanks in part to Ragin, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Those 19 points gave her a new career-high.

Emily Plata was another key player, putting up seven points along with five boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

White Plains' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Greeley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

White Plains has already played their next contest, a 49-33 victory against Port Chester on the 21st. As for Greeley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-79 loss against Ossining on the 21st.
