Absegami had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Cherry Hill East Cougars 6-4.

Absegami pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Cherry Hill East, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Absegami will square off against Hammonton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Braves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cherry Hill East, they will face off against Burlington Township at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
