Softball Recap: Muhlenberg Takes a Loss

If Muhlenberg was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Reading last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Muhls came up short against the Northern Lebanon Vikings on Tuesday, falling 17-2.

Muhlenberg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Wentzel, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Wentzel has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Muhlenberg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northern Lebanon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Muhlenberg will face off against Daniel Boone at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Muhls are facing the Blazers at the right time seeing as the Blazers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northern Lebanon, they will take on Donegal at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
