Football Recap: Shady Side Academy Comes Up Short

Shady Side Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 18-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 28-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Shady Side Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Shady Side Academy will face off against South Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Keystone Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
