Football Recap: Union Spartans vs. Hobbton Wildcats

Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Hobbton Wildcats, falling 50-6. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-0.

A big part of Hobbton's win came down to the chemistry between Joe Corbett and his top target Reggie Thompson. Corbett threw for 222 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes while Thompson picked up 122 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Union and West Columbus are set to duel on November 8th. As for Hobbton, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Duplin at 7:00 p.m. North Duplin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33.8 points per game this season.
