 The Eastbrook Panthers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Blackford Bruins at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Eastbrook will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
 Last Friday, Eastbrook beat Maconaquah 10-7. With that  victory, Eastbrook brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.
  Cooper Craw made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  tossed seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. Craw was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news, Eastbrook let  Kyler Hackman and  Malakai Luthy loose on the outfield. Hackman  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Luthy  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jacob McDermit, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Meanwhile,  Blackford unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell  9-4 to Jay County.
 Blackford saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ethan Morris, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Mason Merkel was another key contributor,  going 3-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Eastbrook's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-13. As for Blackford, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 18-8.
 Eastbrook skirted past Blackford  3-2 when the teams last played  last Monday. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was   Morris, who   struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits.
