Hillcrest waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hillcrest easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Miko Sawyer and Skyler Jones, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Liz Jones and her 15 assists. Addison Nelson and Carleigh Pace kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Ashley Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against T.L. Hanna on the 6th. As for Ashley Ridge, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Andrew Jackson on the 6th.
