Baseball Recap: Big Valley Christian Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Linden, Big Valley Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Riverbank Bruins by a score of 8-4. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jackson Howell was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Big Valley Christian is 3-1-1 when Howell posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Noah Stel, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Big Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-13-1. As for Riverbank, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Big Valley Christian beat the Bruins by a score of 5-3 on Friday.
