Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Macon County). They took down the Schley County Wildcats 46-29 on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs who have now won three contests in a row.

Macon County found their leader in underclassman Jakeyveon Parker, who picked up 78 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. Parker's longest reception was for an incredible 78 yards. Eric Rice made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Macon County's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Rice and Joshua Fulks.

Macon County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Schley County, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Macon County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marion County at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.
