Recap: Arrowhead Christian Eagles vs. Riverside Prep Silver Knights
The Arrowhead Christian Eagles won the last time they faced the Riverside Prep Silver Knights, and things went their way on Friday too. Arrowhead Christian blew past Riverside Prep 50-18 at home. The result was nothing new for Arrowhead Christian, who have now won four matches by 32 points or more so far this season.
Connor Thuilliez had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 167 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Caden Rossi, who gained 132 total yards and two touchdowns.
Riverside Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Marrion Brown, who rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Raoul William churchill ii also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The win makes it two in a row for Arrowhead Christian and bumps their season record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points per game. As for Riverside Prep, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian will take on Capistrano Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Capistrano Valley Christian will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Riverside Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Linfield Christian at 7:30 p.m. Linfield Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Riverside Prep in California (Linfield Christian is ranked 448th, while Riverside Prep is ranked 931st).
