Basketball Game Preview: Somerset Prep vs. King's Academy Lions

Somerset Prep will take on the King's Academy Lions in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Somerset Prep: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home dating back to last season, while King's Academy has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row dating back to last season, Somerset Prep turned things around against FAU High on Wednesday. They walked away with a 70-59 victory over the Owls. Somerset Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, King's Academy beat Oxbridge Academy 65-60 on Tuesday. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the ThunderWolves are ranked 477th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Somerset Prep, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
