Baseball Game Preview: Stadium Tigers vs. West Valley Rams

The Stadium Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the West Valley Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Stadium has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with seven straight defeats, while West Valley will come in with three straight victories.

On Thursday, Stadium came up short against Auburn Riverside and fell 7-4.

Ethan West was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Max Heinze made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, West Valley has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Davis 11-10.

West Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Stadium, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
