The Canal Winchester Indians will face off against the Bishop Watterson Eagles at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Canal Winchester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Canal Winchester made easy work of Hamilton Township and carried off a 16-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

The team relied heavily on HannaH Pearson, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Kara Schrader was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Canal Winchester lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Bishop Watterson was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They came up short against Cathedral, falling 17-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since May 9, 2024.

Bishop Watterson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Emswiler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Emswiler has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

The win got Canal Winchester back to even at 5-5. As for Bishop Watterson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Canal Winchester has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bishop Watterson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
