Softball Recap: Mason County Comes Up Short

The Mason County Royals came up short against the Manchester Greyhounds on Wednesday and fell 8-5.

Mason County's loss dropped their record down to 13-15-1. As for Manchester, their record is now 12-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason County will challenge Bourbon County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals are facing the Colonels at the right time seeing as the Colonels are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Manchester, they will take on Whiteoak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.93 runs per game on average), something the Greyhounds will no doubt try to take advantage of.
