Basketball Game Preview: Burlington-Edison Tigers vs. Archbishop Murphy Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the Wildcats at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Archbishop Murphy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Burlington-Edison, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Burlington-Edison didn't have too much trouble with Squalicum as they won 50-31. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Storm are ranked 91st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Murphy ended up a good deal behind Lynden on Wednesday and lost 52-36. The Wildcats have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Archbishop Murphy's loss dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Burlington-Edison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Burlington-Edison, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-39 loss to Archbishop Murphy when the teams last played on Friday. Can Burlington-Edison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
