Softball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Indians vs. Owen J. Roberts Wildcats

Upper Perkiomen had lost six straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 4-13 to make it seven. They came up short against the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

As for Owen J. Roberts, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by eight runs or more this season.

For Owen J. Roberts' part, the team relied heavily on Maddie Reed, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Reed a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Epps, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Upper Perkiomen has already played their next contest, a 10-4 loss against Perkiomen Valley on the 7th. As for Owen J. Roberts, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Boyertown on the 7th.
