Soccer Game Preview: Evans vs. Greenbrier

Evans hasn't had much luck against Greenbrier recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Evans Knights will face off against the Greenbrier Wolfpack at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Evans' favor is that they have posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.

While Evans' win against Effingham County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Evans had just enough and edged out Effingham County 4-3 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Greenbrier kept a clean sheet against Lakeside on Friday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Evans' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matchups. As for Greenbrier, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Evans suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Greenbrier in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Evans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
