Volleyball Recap: Foard Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Iredell on Tuesday, Foard came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Alexander Central Cougars on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Cougars since August 14, 2017.

Foard was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 25-19.

Foard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Alexander Central, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foard will welcome Draughn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alexander Central, they will square off against North Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
