Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jake Matthews and Wyatt Graham Lead Pollok Central to Victory

Pollok Central won the last time they faced Huntington and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pollok Central Bulldogs secured a 43-39 W over the Huntington Red Devils.

Leading Pollok Central to victory were Wyatt Graham and Jake Matthews. Graham almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, while Matthews went 5 of 9 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Pollok Central has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Huntington, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-19.

Pollok Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-34 win against Diboll on the 17th. Huntington has also already played their next match, a 43-22 loss against Pineywoods Community Academy on the 17th.
