Soccer Recap: Longmont Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

After failing to score in their last game, Longmont made sure to put some goals up on the board against Valley on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vikings a 6-0 shutout. Longmont might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Valley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ella Erwin led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Longmont is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Longmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 4-0 loss against Fort Morgan on the 28th.
