Basketball Game Preview: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. Carter Lions

The Citrus Hill Hawks just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Carter Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Citrus Hill put up the most points they have all season on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Miller 89-62. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Hawks had established a 20-point advantage.

Alaric 'AJ' Hayes was his usual excellent self, going 14-for-18 to rack up 31 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 54% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Deven Arana, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Citrus Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miller only posted two.

Meanwhile, Carter beat JW North 70-61 on Wednesday.

Citrus Hill's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Carter, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Citrus Hill skirted past Carter 69-67 when the teams last played back in December of 2019. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
