Flagler proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 35) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They escaped with a win against the Weldon Valley Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 41-40. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Flagler now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Weldon Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Flagler will take on Genoa-Hugo/Karval in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
