Soccer Recap: Grant Park Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Anne, Grant Park was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Illinois Lutheran Chargers with a sharp 6-1 victory. With Grant Park ahead 4-1 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting Illinois Lutheran from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Aiden Overbeek led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Grant Park's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Illinois Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
