Basketball Recap: West Potomac Continues Home Dominance on Monday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Potomac had no problem doing just that on Monday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 62-25 victory over the Justice Wolves. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

West Potomac got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jill Humphreys out in front who posted 16 points. The dominant performance gave Humphreys a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawn Houston, who scored 14 points.

West Potomac pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.1 points. As for Justice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-14.

Looking ahead, West Potomac won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hayfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Justice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
