Volleyball Recap: Jenison Wildcats vs. Hudsonville Eagles

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jenison had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Hudsonville Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

One reason for the win was Jenison's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Karis Chatfield paced Jenison's offense, picking up 19 kills. Chatfield got some help from Rudy Maynard and her 19 assists. Rylee Paddock controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Hudsonville still got an impressive performance from Lexi Armstrong, who had 14 digs and three aces. Armstrong has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more digs the last 14 times she's played.

Jenison's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 41-7-2. As for Hudsonville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 28-12.

As of now, neither Jenison nor Hudsonville have any future games scheduled.
