Football Game Preview: Lake Mary Rams vs. Venice Indians

The Lake Mary Rams will face off against the Venice Indians at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lake Mary comes in on ten and Venice on seven.

Lake Mary is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 24-13 victory over Dr. Phillips.

Lake Mary's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Grubbs, who rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 227 yards on 14 of 24 attempts. Those 49 rushing yards gave Grubbs a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Parker Perales, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Venice beat Columbus 33-27 on Friday.

Venice's win came from a few key players Lake Mary will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gata Wilder, who rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.

Lake Mary's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.3 points. As for Venice, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
