Basketball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Athens Academy

Lake Oconee Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Athens Academy Spartans on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The victory got Athens Academy back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lake Oconee Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Elite Scholars Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Athens Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
