Baseball Recap: Maysville Takes a Loss

Maysville extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-8 in the process. They lost 14-4 to the West Muskingum Tornadoes. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 1, 2021, but that streak is no more.

TREVOR HAGUE made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for West Muskingum, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5. That ten run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

On West Muskingum's side, the team relied heavily on Wes Houston, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave Houston a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grady Dollings, who went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI.

While Maysville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
