Softball Recap: Redlands Comes Up Short

Redlands suffered their closest defeat since April 24, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the La Sierra Eagles by a score of 10-8. The Terriers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avery Andrade made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Even though they lost, Redlands hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

Redlands' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for La Sierra, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redlands will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Redlands East Valley at 4:00 p.m. on April 8. The match will give Redlands their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for La Sierra, they will challenge Norte Vista at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
