The Routt Catholic Rockets will head out to face off against the Carrollton Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Routt Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Routt Catholic had just enough and edged out Glenwood 10-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

Routt Catholic got a big performance out of Jace Lautemann, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Kale Reich also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Routt Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenwood struck out six times.

Meanwhile, Carrollton got themselves on the board against North Greene on Tuesday, but North Greene never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hawks have posted against the Spartans since May 31, 2021.

The win got Carrollton back to even at 5-5. As for Routt Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Routt Catholic took their win against Carrollton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
