Recap: Siegel Stars vs. Clarksville Academy Cougars
The Siegel Stars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 54-46 to Clarksville Academy. The result was a vexing reminder to Siegel of the 74-46 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2021.
Leading Clarksville Academy to victory were Anna Hellums and Malaya Woullard. Hellums scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, while Woullard scored 22 points. The matchup was Woullard's third in a row with at least ten points. Sicily Robinson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Siegel has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Clarksville Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Siegel will head out on the road to face off against Blackman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarksville Academy, they will be playing at home against Nashville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
