Baseball Game Preview: Eaglecrest Raptors vs. Grandview Wolves

For the second straight game, Eaglecrest will face off against Grandview. The Raptors will welcome the Wolves at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Eaglecrest came up short against Grandview and fell 4-1.

For Grandview's part, Logan Hurtado got the start for Grandview and what a start it was: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave Hurtado a new career-high. Jackson Bernosky picked up the save, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Kayden Bohmeyer was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Schimberg, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Eaglecrest dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Grandview, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.
