Basketball Game Preview: Chicago University Maroons vs. Francis W. Parker Colonels

The Chicago University Maroons are taking a road trip to challenge the Francis W. Parker Colonels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chicago University has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Friday, Chicago University didn't have too much trouble with Latin as they won 58-44.

Meanwhile, Francis W. Parker ended up a good deal behind IC Catholic Prep on Saturday and lost 63-49. While losing is never fun, the Colonels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Knights are ranked 104th).

Francis W. Parker has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Chicago University, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Chicago University was able to grind out a solid win over Francis W. Parker in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 69-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chicago University since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
