Softball Recap: Breckenridge Buckaroos vs. Tolar Rattlers

Breckenridge won the last time they faced Tolar and things went their way on Friday too. The Breckenridge Buckaroos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Tolar Rattlers. That's two games straight that the Buckaroos have won by just one run.

Olyvia Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Breckenridge will take on Early at 5:00 p.m. on March 14th. As for Tolar, they will face off against Millsap at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tolar is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
