It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but McDaniel ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Jefferson Democrats 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Mountain Lions, who have now won three contests in a row.

McDaniel now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

McDaniel will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Democrats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
