Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln Southeast). They enjoyed a cozy 79-65 victory over the Lincoln High Links on Wednesday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Links are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Chewy Thoat, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Prospedi Mukendi, who went 5 of 10 en route to 14 points.

Lincoln Southeast smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Lincoln High still got an impressive performance from Brady Nick, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 21 points and seven assists. The game was Nick's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Deveraux Sanders was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 13 points.

Lincoln Southeast's record is now 11-4. As for Lincoln High, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Lincoln Southeast has already played their next contest, a 73-62 defeat against Lincoln Northeast on the 30th. As for Lincoln High, they will take on Omaha Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lincoln High's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matches.
