Soccer Recap: Odyssey Institute Takes a Loss

The matchup between Odyssey Institute and Benjamin Franklin on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Odyssey Institute Minotaur came up short against the Benjamin Franklin Chargers, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, the Minotaur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Chargers are ranked tenth).

Odyssey Institute dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Benjamin Franklin, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing ALA - Ironwood the next time they take the pitch. Odyssey Institute will head out to face ALA - Ironwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Benjamin Franklin will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
