Recap: Stratford Academy Eagles vs. First Presbyterian Day Vikings
After flying high against the Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers two weeks ago, The Stratford Academy Eagles came back down to earth. Stratford Academy was beaten by First Presbyterian Day 35-6 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Stratford Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jakhari Williams was his usual excellent self, throwing for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Stratford Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.0 points per game. As for First Presbyterian Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.
Stratford Academy will square off against Strong Rock Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Strong Rock Christian is ranked 342nd, while Stratford Academy is ranked 319th).
