The Westminster Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westminster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Westminster is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Prairie View on Tuesday. They came up short against the Thunderhawks, falling 7-1. The Wolves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Riverdale Ridge made sure to put some runs up on the board against Denver North on Tuesday. The Ravens blew past the Vikings 10-3. The Ravens might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Tyler Swan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeter McArthur, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Riverdale Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Westminster, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Westminster hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Riverdale Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Westminster suffered a grim 15-3 defeat to Riverdale Ridge when the teams last played on April 8th. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
