Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a blow against the LaGrange Grangers, falling 77-35. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Grangers are ranked 168th).

Despite the defeat, Trinity Christian had strong showings from Jd Hearn, who posted four points and six rebounds, and Cameron Wallace, who put up nine points. What's more, Wallace also racked up four boards, the most he's had since back in January of 2024.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for LaGrange, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Trinity Christian Lions face off against the Whitewater Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for LaGrange, they will face off against Troup County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Troup County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
