Basketball Recap: Buffalo Comes Up Short

Buffalo lost against Hopkins back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Buffalo Bison came up short against the Hopkins Royals, falling 81-58. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Royals are ranked second).

This is the second loss in a row for Buffalo and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for Hopkins, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Buffalo will host Washburn at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Washburn's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games. Hopkins has already played their next contest (against Eden Prairie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
