Baseball Game Preview: McGuffey Highlanders vs. Brownsville Falcons

The McGuffey Highlanders will challenge the Brownsville Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for McGuffey and three for Brownsville.

McGuffey made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Charleroi, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Highlanders fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-4 on Thursday.

Noah Seibert made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Seton LaSalle hit Brownsville with a five-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons came up short against the Rebels, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly ten runs.

Brownsville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Cetera, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Cetera also scored a run, marking his first of the season.

Brownsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for McGuffey, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
