Basketball Recap: Woodlawn's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Woodlawn can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 32-29 win over the Kenwood Bluebirds. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since December 15, 2023.

Kenwood lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Makayla Horton, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Ullah, who put up nine points.

Woodlawn's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Kenwood, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Woodlawn will face off against Randallstown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kenwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aberdeen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
