Fillmore's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Avoca Central on Wednesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Andover Panthers with a sharp 7-1 win. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

James Hillman was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Damon Potter was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Fillmore now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Andover, their record now sits at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fillmore will take on Bolivar-Richburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season. As for Andover, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hammondsport at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
